Drake Enlists Stevie Wonder For "Take Care”

The soul legend not only helped out Drizzy with the musical side of the album, but he also makes a cameo.

After bringing out Stevie Wonder as a special guest during his OVO Festival in Toronto, Canada last night, Drake revealed that the soul legend will appear on his upcoming sophomore album Take Care, due October 24th.

Speaking with Much Music, the Young Money rapper revealed that Wonder not only helped out with musical arrangements on Take Care, but also makes a guest appearance.

“Stevie Wonder is a very close friend of mine. I’m honored to call him a friend, someone who embraced me very early in this music business,” he said. “This is an exclusive right here, because it’s MuchMusic, and we’re Canadian: Stevie Wonder is actually on Take Care.”

Wonder has been in the studio with Drizzy to help guide the 24-year-old’s vision. “He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience,” he continued.

During last night’s show, Wonder played six songs including “Ribbon in the Sky,” “Sir Duke” and “Superstition.”
